Revelle Smith is a former child prodigy. He began playing the guitar at the age of 4 and simply is one of the most talented musicians in the Chicagoland area today. He is an amazingly versatile musician who plays guitar (lead, bass, bass upright, acoustic, nylon strings and guitar synthesizer), harmonica (chromatic) and drums. He can play in just about any style — such as jazz, R&B, blues, Neo soul and he is a scat and blues singer. His inspirations have been George Benson, Larry Carlton, Billy Rogers and Joe W. Smith. He can do dead-on impressions of George Benson, Wes Montgomery, B.B. King and Larry Carlton. Not only can he play lead brilliantly, he also is one of the best rhythm guitarist around, supportive to soloists in the soul and jazz format.
Revelle has played with Little Milton Blues Legend, Tim Gant of the Ramsey Lewis Band, Sheila Hutchinson of The Emotions, various venues and private events. He has composed and performed music for commercials and small or large businesses. He has produced and recorded original compositions on two albums entitled License to Chill and Business as Usual. He is in the final phases of his third album to be released in 2016-2017.
Revelle is currently endorsed with D’Angelico Guitars and over the years has worked with various industry vendors as an endorsed Artist including Heritage Guitars, Graph Tech picks and Guitar parts and G.H.S Strings . Although a successful solo artist and band member for decades, he began The Revelle Smith Project in recent years. The members of the Project have performed in the industry for decades and are highly experienced and varied in musical composition and skills.
The Revelle Smith Project performs in various venues both public and private. Currently, we are performing in various locations in the Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana area and would welcome the opportunity to expand our footprint in your area.
We look forward to performing for you!
